I just had the biggest "what was I thinking" moment of my life. Usually I embrace my guilty pleasures or relics from past, but this made my spine shatter.




I'm trying to figure out why I was so obsessed with these dudes from age 12-15.

Oh wait.

They were hot.

And I had really low self-esteem. (Like 90% of 12-15 year old girls)

Which gets me to thinking that the whole teen idol market caters to this hormonally-charged and miserable demographic with little to no standards (due to low self esteem) which record execs must prey on.

And 20 years later it seems it dictates the whole record industry.

Barack Orion

Orion is one of my best buds and the token "kid" whenever a music video calls for one.

At the tender age of 3, he had a small roll in the 2 Skinnee Js "One Summer" video, and at the age of 5, a more prominent role in the Vitamen video below


(Although his mom was kind of pissed when he was walking around singing dirty lyrics for the next few months. Sorry Natasha. And also while I'm at it, I guess I should apologize for introducing (uncut) Ren & Stimpy episodes to him.... but at least it's not Pink Flamingos or anything)

Anyway, I'm glad to see he's expanding his repertoire.
