I hate my laugh

The following is more of a work in progress. (I might just cut everything except for the Moby bit). The sound isn't up to par, but everywhere was so so so so loud.

This is how I spent my first 3 days in Austin. Laughing my ass off. This is why I do music videos- I don't have to worry about cutting my laugh out in post.



Crude and rude, yes, but The Giraffes are actually four of the nicest guys I know. And smartest. (Sorry if I just ruined their rep. Tough shit.) I have a theory their diarrhea of the mouth is actually a last resort to entertain each other. They spend enough time together that plain old wit is just boring. Wit meshed with shock, however, is effin hilarious. Trust me.

Jax just posted her next installment of "SXSW is for photographers" on her blog. I wish I had a flash like her's because the interview she caught me catching is barely visible.

And Smitty posted his shots on Flicker.

Now reread Mishka's feature in the New York Press and you may get at least a smidgen of what went on down there. Cause we sure as hell don't remember the rest.

PS- The quote at the end of the video was from a random fan. I don't remember his name, I do remember he tried to make-out with me. And I only remember that because I have it on video.

I suck at blogging

i have too much shit going on in my head. It might actually be therapuetic to get it out in manageable blog form, but i don't have the time.

I did want to touch on my experiences in Austin, but you might just have to wait for the movie. In the meantime, journey on over to my sista from another mista's photoblog, JackieRoman.com. We spent a lot of time together (and shared a hotel room...for the most part). She's in the midst of doing a six part piece on all things sxsw. Also, stay tuned for a link to Smitty's pix. Once he gets his shit together, of course.
