happy good friday

I just saw a bunch of school kids re-enacting the passion on Franklin St. It brought back memories of catholic school, but mostly memories of this:

(mom, don't watch)

And I just realized my mom can't get mad at my brother for making that. After all, we had to act out the passion for years, Ant just bought it into the 21st century.

YouTuebsday...

on Metromix!

Last night, it was empty for awhile except for a few friends. We indulged in Nina Hagen interviews, obscure bands, and then I thought it's be a good idea to show clips from "Flesh Gordon." Wouldn't you know, about 12 people stroll in while a giant claymation penis is chasing 2 dudes across the countryside. It went on for about 10 minutes.

(The whole clip is unattainable at this moment, but you should check it out in the future.)

I'm still debating on how much to share from my own experience at indie rock spring break. I was there collecting debaucherous tour stories and walked away with one of my own. But it really isn't that exciting compared to some of the stories I got. Still, it is entertaining, but more in a 80s summer camp romance flic then the tales of dirty sex, gluttonous drugs, stolen cars and dead body stories I've been getting.

While I ponder how much to share, check out my friend Mishka's fear and loathing in Austin piece he wrote for the New York Press. He mentions some shit I got on video (coming soon to BAMiAM.tv) and a sent text in my phone. hahaha.

Also, a few folks have clued me in on a radiohead video contest, one blog even called me out. only I'm not into radiohead. It's nothing personal (ok, maybe the fact that Thom Yorke looks like a fetus) but they're just one of those bands i've heard way too much about that I'm sick of em before giving them a listen.

That's not to say I didn't listen to my "Creep" cassingle on repeat in college. I'm a fucking weirdo, how could I not?

Plus, after researching the contest, I see they want to see storyboards. This is how I storyboard:
(Can you guess the video?)

Maybe I should give it a whirl anyway...
