SUNDAY - Party like it's 1492!!!

I almost forgot to mention the most important part of this weekend...

This place is like my new favorite NYC bar.

Great rock 'n roll crowd. Folks who ask me to play Interpol are totally outnumbered (40 to 1) by folks who ask me to play Johnny Thunders, Alice Cooper, Sabbath, Mott The Hoople, Gloria Jones, T.Rex, etc.

Not that I have Interpol anyway.
I'll play Joy Division instead.
But I won't play "Love Will Tear Us Apart".
I'll play this instead.

Come out, even if you're not closeted!

Just call me Papier Mache Guevara

I haven't been posting recently due to being up to my ears preparing my next music video project for the awesome band Hopewell.

No budget means I get to take on many roles including but not limited to director, producer, production manager, prop assistant (hence the papier mache) set design coordinator, choreographer, best boy grip, location scout and then some. Thanks to everyone who's helping out on this one, including Masha, Natasha and my little bro, Anthoneesha.
Ant has become quite the green screen afficionado, as evident in the latest masterpiece him and his friends shot.

(He's the skydiver)

Anyway, I'm about to head to Papier Mache' Stadium (Masha's studio), but i though I'd take a moment to keep you abreast (hehehe) on the rock happenings this weekend.

Tonight: I think I'm going to check out my friend Andee's Motorhead tribute band, Gimmiehead at Trash. I met Andee about 4 years ago through Eddie Eyeball. All I could think was "who is this beautiful punkass with this personal killer style?". Upon getting to know him I came to realize he's also brilliant and funny and super talented. And supportive. And super stylin. I miss personal style - you know - folks who actually look different from everyone else?

Anyhoo, I can't wait till his new band Black Sugar Transmission comes into full effect. But in the meantime, Gimmehead Tonight!

Tomorrow (Saturday) I'm checking out some noname indie bands called ... I don't know, something like The Super Mario Fire, LSD Sightsystem, and Les blahblahblah at this dude's Randal's house. Only it's on an island.

Anyone else going?
