Dancing in the street

It's just about my favorite time of year for outdoor street shows, and this weekend we get a double dose:

Saturday: Dumbo Arts Festival-
along with open galleries, interactive art, performance pieces and outdoor music, My friends are throwing a 5 band loft party extravaganza!!

I carried around a camera for 3 years, capturing life in the BK at the turn of the century.

These were the first shorts I edited myself in iMovie after abandoning the "2 VCR" technique.

I'm having a newsworthy week

From the Daily News.

They stopped me at the 34th st. ACE yesterday and took me a little offguard. My first response to them was "I'm not educated enough on the inner workings of the Mass Transit Authority to form an opinion."

Not the right thing to say to the Daily World News And Report, so they egged me on.

Then they said they just really wanted to take a picture of me with my hair and my Misfits T-Shirt. I don't think they knew it was a Misfits T-shirt, but whatever.

Then they borderline mocked me for my use of the word 'scapegoat' in this context. They told me a scapegoat is a person, not a machine. I told them it's whatever you want it to be. That's why they put it in quotes.

But I wanted to be the best person in the world...

The hardest thing I've ever had to do was to succumb to letting Bunny keep the damn trophy.



But that look on her face makes it all worth while. For the most part. But supposedly she's making it up to me. More on that as it develops...

And we got yet ANOTHER nod from Pitchfork.

In order to combat the unflattering pics of me popping up online

I've decided to post an unflattering video of my fat ass. In your face, uh... unflattery.

Ok, in reality no one is looking at me anyway (thanks Mikki) so without further self-pity, I present you with what went down Friday night before Les Savy Fav took the stage...



Some highlights:

1. That's Tim Harrington in the beginning telling Bunny not to be scared.

2. I love the way the dude hasn't even announced us yet and someone in the crowd screams BUNNNAAAYYYYYYYYYY and everyone starts cheering. Then they actually see her and go ballistic.
