All negative connotations aside

this song isn't half bad.

Ever have something pop up on your ipod and your first reaction is "How did that get one there"
Oh, I don't know. Any idea, SIBI???. (Her music section is my favorite on myspace.)

But then you find yourself with an ear to ear grin, head boppin, rocking the fuck out on the B61 bus.

Sorry Providence.

That's right, we're flying in for the weekend and I believe playing another gig or 2. Know anyone out there?
Anything to check out? I heard the Country Music Hall Of Fame is pretty awesome, especially the Billy Ray Cyrus exibit. If I make it there, I'll bring my camera and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

Friday, August 24th
@ Stephen's Talkhouse in Amagansette
Saturn Missile will be on hand, plus the boys from Mad Larry will be playing. Hmmmmmm Vic Thrill and Mad Larry on the same bill. I wonder what band could possibly be quasi-resurrected for that one?

Anyone? Anyone?

Welcome to the non-myspace Bamblings blog

This is just a sound check. See how this sounds.

Yes, this new blog will feature MP3s! That one was given to me on a mix by my friend Martin. First song. Go figure. The rest of the mix kicks ass too - chock full of old school soul and New Orleans madness. Although he made the CD before he moved down there. BUt lucky for me he did, because I got the sweet ass rock 'n roll personal tour when we played shows there in March

Like this recording studio-come laundromat that hosted the likes of Lloyd Price, Shirly & Lee, Jerry Lee Lewis...

And Fats Domino's inconspicuous pad.

An of course, the hotel where Johnny Thunders "OD'd" (Read: was giver bad acid by shady folks and found twisted like a pretzel under a table during rigamortis). Here's me trying to put my arms around a memory.

Alas I discovered, it didn't pay to try...
