Any December Boys out there?

I think i may have to abort mission on joe strummers bio. That shit's like 600 pages long and way too detailed. I had to go through like 200 pages of the lineage of Joe's father's uncle's cousin's former roommate. Sister.

Right now I'm around page 350. The Sandinista years. But it's getting to the point where it's painful to even pick up. I like Johnny Green's "A Riot Of Our Own" a lot better.

Plus, my dad lent me "The Bad Guys Won" (the bio of the '86 Mets) which I'm dying to jump into. I know that's not neccesarilly keeping in tune with my "rock bio only" reading policy, but these dudes were rock stars to me. I was a huge Met freak as a kid. My first crush was on Darryl Strawberry. I wrote him a fan letter and he sent me an autograph. I also used to know averages and crazy detailed shit like that...and rock a shiny Mets Starter jacket.

Fuck it, I'll go back to Joe later.
